NEW ORLEANS - The Lower Ninth Ward saw renewed flooding Monday when a high tide pushed water up through drainage systems.

An Army Corps of Engineers spokesperson said two additional pumps were turned on to remove the two feet of water and expected the work to be completed shortly.

WDSU-TV, an NBC affiliate, reported that strong north winds were helping to push the water into these areas but that it was not expected to get worse.
