LOS ANGELES - “ER” star Noah Wyle played dad instead of doctor as he and his wife welcomed their second child, a girl.
The baby, weighing almost 7½ pounds, was born in Los Angeles on Saturday to Wyle and wife Tracy, People magazine reported. The baby was named Auden, after the poet W.H. Auden.
“Mom and baby are doing great,” Eddie Michaels, a spokesman for the actor, told the magazine. “Everyone is thrilled.”
The infant’s older brother, Owen Strausser Wyle, turns 3 next month.
Wyle, 34, and his wife, 37, a makeup artist, met in 1996 on the set of the film “The Myth of Fingerprints” and married in 2000. Wyle, who played Dr. John Carter on NBC’s “ER” for 11 years, left as a series regular last season but is making occasional guest appearances this season.
