Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan could become known as the "strapless housewives" after Sunday night's Emmy Awards.

Hatcher went for all-out glamour in a navy blue empire waist gown with a long train by J. Mendel. It had a crystal band under the bustline that she complemented with a substantial diamond link necklace and diamond earrings.

Cross' green strapless gown by Elie Saab had a ruched bodice with elaborate beading, and her dangling earrings dripped diamonds and green baubles under her free-flowing long red hair.

Sheridan, in a Giorgio Armani strapless dusty-rose satin gown with a fitted bodice, cascading tiered skirt and train appeared more sophisticated and demure than her on-screen counterpart. "It's soft and elegant," she said.

Eva Longoria was hardly a shrinking violet, though, in her coral gown with a jeweled neck and revealing keyhole opening.

Felicity Huffman's rouge satin bias-cut gown had a gentle cowl neck, crystals on the thick straps and the waist insets — and an old Hollywood look.

Our Access Hollywood fashion guru Stacy London, from TLC's "What Not To Wear," was on the red carpet to break down the hits and misses of Emmy fashion.

Stacy spotted Charlize Theron making her way down the red carpet and had to ask what she was wearing.

"Chanel Couture," Charlize smiled.

"Go girl!" Stacy replied.

And of course as a fashion guru, Stacy doesn't go anywhere without her Red Carpet Fashion First Aid kit — much to the delight of "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly, who was wearing a stunning Monique Lhuilier dress.

"You know, I was after some double-sided tape in the car earlier and I didn't have any," Lilly joked as she saw the kit.

Of course, some stars didn’t need any help.

Emmy nominee Mariska Hargitay from "Law & Order: SVU" wore an elegant orange Carolina Herrerra gown.

Like Lilly, "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Patricia Heaton also chose a lovely Monique Lhuillier gown, that Stacy also gave a thumbs up to.

And Patricia actually gave Stacy her seal of approval.

"I love your show," Heaton told her.

But Stacy's number one fab fashion of the night went to Marcia Cross and her stunning green Elie Saab.

The lone fashion faux pas on the Emmy red carpet according to Stacy — "Medium" star Patricia Arquette's retro style hair-don't.

Luckily for Arquette, that didn't stop her from taking home the Emmy for best actress in a drama series.
