Children’s mural panels will be sent to New Orleans and Gulf locations as gifts from the children of NYC with help from Digitas. In addition, children will create 250 “Backyards in a Box,” containers filled with footballs, chalk, and jump rope, to name a few items, designed to bring a piece of home to children who no longer have one. |
PET RESCUE GROUPS ON HUMANITY PLAZA |
Helping animals in need A number of groups were on the Plaza to offer adoption of pets from animal shelters from the hurricane zone. Volunteers can also assemble dog houses, donate dog houses, and put together supply packages for pet-owning families in hurricane areas. Click below to learn more about these groups. |
