Tina Turner to get Kennedy Center honors

WASHINGTON - Robert Redford, Tina Turner and Tony Bennett will be getting lifetime achievement awards from the Kennedy Center in Washington.

Actress Julie Harris and dancer Suzanne Farrell will also get Kennedy Center Honors at a ceremony at a State Department dinner December third. The honorees will also get to meet with President Bush at the White House.

A gala will be held in their honor at the Kennedy Center on Dec. 4. The gala will be taped to air on CBS later in the month.
