Last month, we asked viewers to send us an e-mail telling us why they needed help managing their time and organizing their life. And one lucky person was chosen to get a time management makeover by expert Julie Morgenstern, author of the books, "Time Management from the Inside Out" and "Organizing from the Inside Out." But don't despair if you weren't the lucky winner. Morgenstern has some essential tips on time management that everyone can follow.

  • Write it down: Record everything you have to do
  • Add it up: Estimate how long each task will take
  • Decide what you will actually do
  • Execute your plan

How to do errands and chores faster

  • Create master shopping list
  • Order groceries online
  • Reduce the clutter
  • Team-clean house with the kids.
  • Lay out clothes the night before
  • Post a "Remember to Take" checklist by the door
