Tom Cruise continues his more-than-we-want-to-know tour.

The “War of the Worlds” star recently revealed to a German magazine that he enjoys sex. “Sex is great, if you are in a relationship,” Cruise told Bild magazine. “Otherwise, I find sex actually not so interesting. Without a relationship it is confusing.”

The psychiatry-bashing celeb touched on many topics in the wide ranging interview. Regarding fianceé Katie Holmes, Cruise said: “Our chemistry has clicked. We are so alike. I believe I have found the right one. And I want more children.”

And on the issue of mortality, he said, “The exterior is only one covering. I believe in rebirth. I do not have a fear of life or death.”

Is Russell Crowe getting too hot to handle?

The explosive star’s recent outburst has some buzzing that his temper may hurt his box-office appeal.

Now Crowe is setting up his own production company, according to RadarMagazine.com, and some are saying it’s insurance in case film types become reluctant to hire him.

“Directors — other than Ron Howard — really dislike him, and no woman in her right mind wants to work with him,” a source told the site. “Even Paul Bettany [Crowe’s two-time co-star] is scared to death of him.”

But others say he may have another motive. “Russell likes calling the shots,” a source tells The Scoop. “He wants to be in charge.”

Don’t be surprised if Nicole Kidman and Johnny Depp star in a movie together. The “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” star recently wrote to Kidman, saying they should work together because their tastes are both so odd. Kidman is said to be thrilled with the idea.  . . . Ashlee Simpson has gone blond (see photo at left), and her more-famous also-blonde sister, Jessica Simpson, reportedly isn’t thrilled. “Jess has not only asked her sister to change her hair color back to brunette, but she’s begged their father — who manages them — to ask her to do so,” a source told Life & Style Weekly. A rep denies the story.  . . . “Bewitched” star Shirley MacLaine isn’t a fan of the TV series that inspired the flick. “I didn’t like the show itself, but what I loved was that ‘Bewitched’ made witchcraft acceptable to the public,” the new-agey actress told the Toronto Sun. MacLaine plays the role of Endora, who in the TV version was played by Agnes Moorehead, who died in 1974. MacLaine, who believes in past lives and such, said: “I never met Agnes in person, but I talked to her recently and she’s doing fine.”
