WASHINGTON - Here is a state-by-state breakdown of the military bases recommended for closure under the Pentagon proposal made public Friday.

The list is not final, as states and communities will have an opportunity to make thier case to save their facilities, including scores of Reserve and National Guard installations.

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has estimated that the move would save $48.8 billion over 20 years while reshaping the military for America’s expected 21st century adversaries.
