No. 11: Race car (WATCH THE VIDEO)
“I am a 33 year old mother of 2 who drives a Dodge Grand Caravan (This is the standard of stay at home moms with kids to transport everywhere). I am so totally enthralled with Nascar. My favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt, Jr. I try never to miss a race and keep up on all things Nascar!! People can't believe this is my sport of choice because they say I am so demure and quiet. If they could only see me watching a race or someone bad mouthing my Jr. Anyway, enough about my infatuation and on with my dream. I would like for my favorite driver to take me around a track going at least 180 miles per hour or more (I'm dreaming my wildest dream I might as well dream fast). I also would like to drive it myself, of course at a more respectable speed. I would love to spend a weekend at the race track getting to experience the whole racing weekend. Life would never be the same for this stay at home mom who drives a Dodge Grand Caravan.” — Miechel Bassett

No. 1: Go on safari in Africa (WATCH THE VIDEO)
 |
“The one thing I want to do before I die is go on an African Safari — not to hunt and shoot the animals, just experience the beauty of the country and the animals in nature and to 'spice things up.' I am a 53-year-old housewife, have led a relatively 'calm' life, and am ready to start my "empty nest" years as my daughter is a senior in high school, my son a college junior. When I myself was in college many years ago, my roommate wanted herself and I to take a quarter off to go to Africa and I resisted, wanting to graduate on time. Now, 30 years later, I still haven't made it to Africa (nor has she to my knowledge). That one quarter off from school would have meant nothing, so many take more than 4 years to graduate, but the memory, experience, and life lessons of a trip to Africa would be precious. If I could say one thing to young people at this time, I would say, don't put off those opportunities — they may not come again. Do it before commitments, jobs, children, etc. start to pile up. So, perhaps 'Today' will help me 'Live for Today' and finally see Africa.” —
