Sometimes the best part of “American Idol” is the latest sly comment from acerbic judge Simon Cowell. Here are some of our favorites from this season.

"American Idol" gets more interesting every week. First, some fans were shocked when Constantine Maroulis was voted off.

Next, it was revealed that Maroulis' fellow rocker, Bo Bice, had been arrested twice in the past four years on drug charges. Bice's past bothered some fans and not others, but will it bother them when they come to vote this week? We shall see.

Here are some of your thoughts on the remaining contestants.

MALE FINALISTS:
ANTHONY
“Scott and Anthony are getting through on something else than the ability to sing. They could burp out of key and not be booted off. Constantine is way more talented than the pair of them and I am glad that the jury agrees with me. Scott and Anthony have no real career ahead of them short of the Holiday Inn Fayetteville.”    --Steven

“I like Anthony.  I don’t think he is good enough to win the whole thing, but the raw vocal talent he has is delightful.  I’ll buy his CD.”    --Beth

“Anthony Fedorov did belong in the bottom three. He isn’t the strongest vocally, but he has the love-ablity factor. Everyone loves him, he’s adorable and with such a great background.”    --Ellen

BO
“Bo Bice being arrested in the past totally creeps me out. Why would you want the next superstar to be a convicted felon? The next one that should be kicked off is Bo.”  --Heather

“I could care less about Bo’s past, and commend him for admitting himself into a rehab!! I am sure every contestant has a past, and Bo has rectified his, so we should leave him alone. At this point, my votes for Constantine will go towards Bo!  It’s going to be a tough one, between Bo and Carrie I hope!”    --Eileen

“I used to like Bo Bice but the person chosen to be the next American Idol is a role model to people, someone with a tainted drug past may have some effect on young and impressionable kids.”    --Jill

SCOTT
“Scott is NOT an American Idol in my book.  Any man who goes after a woman any way at any time should not be held up as an idol.  His vocals are OK, but he should have left as soon as the news about his arrest came out.  I can handle Bo’s drug problem—he never hurt anyone else, and he has gotten his life together.”    --Beth

“I have been impressed with Scott from the very beginning.  He is able to take whatever genre of music given to him and make it his own. … I expect Scott or Bo to take it all.”    --FMG

“The next person to go should be Scott Savol.  Hopefully we’ll wake up to the fact that it is not a sympathy part, but a contest for an American Idol that will sell records and make big hits.  Scott doesn’t have that recipe.”    --Bryan

“I think Scott should’ve been the first voted off -  he is the least talented and he has an poor attitude. If looks could kill, Simon would be dead!”    --Laura

FEMALE FINALISTS:
CARRIE
“My bet on the next to go would be Carrie if she doesn’t step it up and perform better.”  --Michelle

Carrie Underwood has it all over everyone with her vocals and appeal.  No one can outsing her.  Vonzell does the same song type week after week.  At least Carrie has tried to do songs out of her comfort range.”  --Lisa

“If Carrie wins I’ll know it is fixed - because she is not that consistently good.”    --Angela

“Carrie is wonderful but she is a country star not the American Idol.”    --Paula

“It’s already a given that Carrie Underwood will win........Who knows maybe America will surprise us.”    --Maureen

VONZELL
“Vonzell should not have been in the bottom 3 ... it should have been Scott in her place. ”    --Jeannette

“Look for Vonzell and Carrie to duke it out in a vocal slugfest that will dazzle and amaze.”    --Lawrence

“Vonzell is awesome but I just don’t think she has connected with the audience and feel that is going to hurt her in the long run.”    --Vicky

“Vonzell has shown much promise and I would much rather have her be the Idol now that Constantine is gone vs. Scott who is horrible and Anthony who is almost as horrible.”    --Anita

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
“We continue to overanalyze the Scott Savol situation, but it’s really quite simple: Scott is pulling the urban/R&B vote (along with Vonzell, who many urban voters may find too suburban for their tastes). Apart from the two of them, who else do we have? The Velveeta kid, a country chick, and the rockers. It’s no surprise that Scott is getting votes. The bigger question to me is why did Nadia, Anwar, and Nikko get voted off before Scott? In each case, I think they may not have had the street cred that Scott has. It’s pathetic, but if you don’t think a violent history works in your advantage, let me introduce you to 50 Cent.”    --Clay
