As the holidays approach, it’s the question every parent (and grandparent and friend) faces: What toys will be fun for kids but also safe and educational?

Fortunately, there’s help at hand, from “Today” contributor Stephanie Oppenheim and her fellow toy testers (and family members), Joanne and James Oppenheim. Each fall the Oppenheims issue their “Toy Portfolio,” which rates the best toys, videos, books, music and software for kids.
