Beckham’s wife expecting third child

LONDON - Real Madrid soccer star David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, are expecting their third child in March, the couple announced Sunday.

“This is fantastic news. We are both absolutely delighted. We are planning to have the baby in Spain,” the couple said in a joint statement.

Victoria Beckham, 30, a former Spice Girl, has delivered two sons: Brooklyn, 5, and Romeo, 2.

The marriage of Britain’s No. 1 celebrity couple came under strain in April when a former personal aide, Rebecca Loos, claimed she and Beckham had had a 10-day affair.

He dismissed the claim as “ludicrous” and “absurd.”
