Britney Spears continues to prove that she’s not that innocent.

The engaged pop star startled a talk-show host when she told him about her oral habits. Simon Amstell of the U.K. show "Popworld" asked Spears what was the last thing she’d put in her mouth. Spears reportedly replied that it was a sex toy.

“I thought her answer would be something like chicken escalope,” Amstell said, according to World Entertainment News Network. Spears’ revelation never made it into the final interview, though. “Her people stepped in and cut that bit out,” says Amstell.

Spears’ rep had no comment at press time.

Grammys won by the Beatles and Paul McCartney and Wings that were put up for auction were withdrawn from the market — and an insider says it’s because Apple Records and McCartney were threatening to sue if they were sold.

Apple and reps for McCartney are currently negotiating to buy the awards. A source says that the talks have gone smoothly for the Beatles’ Grammy, but that McCartney is balking on the price of the one won by Wings.

“The Beatles’ Grammy [for “A Hard Day’s Night”] would have fetched at least $120,000 and the Wings [award] wouldn’t have been too far behind,” says the source. “Apple Records is paying the full price for the Grammy, but Paul’s people only want to pay $50,000 to $60,000, which is ironic since he’s one of the richest entertainers on this planet. They’re not sure they can reach a deal.”

Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment, which conducted the sale, denies that there’s a dispute over the price of the Wings’ Grammy. “[McCartney] obviously wants to pay as little as possible but [his reps] didn’t take an aggressive position,” Julien told The Scoop. “We’re very optimistic that a deal can be reached.”

Foes of the president are salivating over a description of Kitty Kelley’s forthcoming tell-all about George Bush and his kin. “The Family: the Real Story of the Bush Dynasty” goes on sale Sept. 14, and the description on Amazon.com promises that Kelley — who made international headlines with her scathing Nancy Reagan bio — will reveal “the matriarchs, the mistresses, the marriages, the divorces, the jealousies, the hypocrisies, the golden children, and the black sheep” of the first family.  . . . Burt Reynolds is impressed with Adam Sandler’s athletic prowess. “Adam Sandler is an amazing all-around athlete,” the actor said about his co-star in a remake of “The Longest Yard.” “The only thing Ben Affleck could beat him at is poker.”
