LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A Republican lawmaker is apologizing for a bumper sticker display in a GOP office that compares John Kerry to Osama bin Laden.
The sticker reads: “Kerry is bin Laden’s Man. Bush is Mine.”
Kentucky Rep. Anne Northup says she found out about the stickers over the weekend and doesn’t want any more distributed.
But Jefferson County, Kentucky GOP chairman Jack Richardson says the stickers were so popular that GOP headquarters ran out Friday.
He says he won’t distribute more, but is trying to locate their source for those who want them.
A state Democratic Party official says the sticker “goes way over the line.”
