Letterman chatted with sick and wounded soldiers at the main military hospital in Baghdad. He also presented a Top Ten List.
Among Letterman’s Top Ten Reasons You’ve Been in Iraq Too Long:
Number Nine: You’ve heard a crazy rumor that Arnold Schwarzenegger is governor of California.
Number Two: Camel. It tastes just like chicken.
Lieutenant Michael Gerstmayer of Baltimore says Letterman was amazingly relaxed. He says, “He acts like he’s been here for years.”
The comedian visited one soldier who’d had his appendix taken out. Letterman joked, “I saw it downstairs in the gift shop.”
