DAYTON, Ohio - An Ohio man has been charged with attempted murder after authorities said he put an infant and a toddler in a trash bin.
A grand jury in Dayton returned the indictment Wednesday against 39-year-old Tommie Johnson Jr.
Authorities say he put the 8-month-old boy and 2-year-old girl in the trash after a dispute with their mother.
Authorities say two electricians pulled the children out of the bin July 27. Police say they had been there for about 13 hours and were dirty, hungry and thirsty.
Court records do not list an attorney for Johnson.
