State Rep Mugged on the South Side

An Illinois state representative got a first hand glimpse of the city's crime problem last night when she was mugged in South Shore.
Annazette Collins (D), who is running for congress, was talking with her sister while walking to her mother's south side home when a masked man stuck a gun in her face and demanded money, according to the Sun-Times.
“Don’t look at me. Give me your purse. Don’t look at me,” the gunman allegedly said before fleeing the scene with Collins' purse, which was later found down the street.
The two women were not hurt. No shots were fired in the robbery.
The attacker was described as 5' 6" and about 130 pounds, and in his 20s.
Collins' BlackBerry, her Sony camera and about $40 in cash were taken from the purse.
Police are investigating the incident, and looking into whether the gunman targeted the politician. No arrests have been made.
