LOUISVILLE, Ky. - WLKY.com
Butchertown residents living near the JBS Swift plant are working to put the meat packer out of business.
Neighbors say the meat processing plant is "stinky" and violates current zoning laws.
Swift officials say they are following zoning laws, although the laws are from a 1969 permit before houses were built near the plant.
Swift employees held a rally Sunday opposing the new zoning laws which if enforced, could shut down the plant.
A hearing is scheduled for Monday to decide the plant's future.
