A controversial issue took center stage at a prayer service downtown this weekend.
On Sunday morning, church leaders from several different faiths came together to pray for immigration reform.
People at the event said they want to end the current laws that can rip families apart.
"This is a change in policy so that we have more slots for immigrants, more opportunities for family unification, and more opportunities for people who came here because their parents brought them here at an early age to be able to go to college in the United States and grow up to be productive citizens," American Jewish Committee member Barbara Glueck said.
The service was held at the Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park.
Among the different faith groups taking part, the American Jewish Committee, the Catholic Social Action Office and the Cincinnati Interfaith Worker Center.
