ORLANDO, Fla. - WESH.com
A man died after being shot in the torso in an Orange County condominium complex early Saturday.
The shooting happened in the Tymberskan on the Lake development at Inglewood and Lodgewood lanes.
Orange County sheriff's deputies found a man dead in a car in the parking lot just before 1 a.m. Police said someone shot the man in the torso, killing him.
Neighbors said that there was a party with loud music Saturday night near where authorities found the body. Parties and gunshots are not uncommon at Tymberskan, according to the people who live there.
The complex has made headlines recently for fires, a stabbing, a carjacking and, most recently, a drowning. People who live there said, still, it's not a terrible place to live.
"I mean, it's not really all that bad," Dolly Williams said. "It has gotten better from what it was. But then sometimes you think it is the same, if not worse; especially with things like this going on."
In recent years, the Guardian Angels came to help protect neighbors, but people said they have to protect themselves.
"It's life in Tymberskan," Williams said.
