Tampa man accused of possessing child porn

A 56-year-old Tampa man was arrested Friday and charged with 14 counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

It was around 3 p.m. that authorities served James Trude, 4518 W. Knollwood Ave., with a search warrant, the police report said.

The search revealed several CDs and DVDs containing graphic files depicting children under the age of 12 and as young as 2 years old engaged in sexual activity with other children and adults, the report said.

Authorities seized Trude's computer and will conduct a forensic search on it, deputies said.

The 14 counts of possession on child pornography were enhanced to second-degree felony on each count because the pornographic videos depicted children as young as 2 years old.

Trude is being held at Orient Road Jail, with bail set at $69,500.
