The Louisville man accused of living with his dead mother was arraigned on Saturday.
Julius Harris entered a not-guilty plea and is still in custody on a $25,000 bond.
Harris was arrested Friday morning after a nine-hour standoff with police.
The body of his 89-year-old mother was found in a bedroom, officers said.
Investigators said she had been dead since May and that they believe Harris had been cashing her income checks.
