Ford Road Reopens After Crash

CANTON, Mich. - Police closed down Ford Road between Haggerty Road and Lotz Road in Canton Friday evening, because of a multi-vehicle crash.

Police said a female driver was heading west on Ford Road when she crossed the median, sending her car into oncoming traffic.

The driver struck one car, then crashed head-on into another vehicle carrying children, police said.

The female driver was transported by helicopter to the University of Michigan hospital.

Another person was also rushed to the hospital by ambulance and is listed in serious condition.

Police are still investigating how the female driver lost control of her vehicle.
