Secretary of State Jesse White visited Central Illinois today and took some time to speak to young drivers directly.

White spoke to nearly 250 Peoria Heights High School students about the success of the graduated license.

He also told the students about two new laws that will take affect in the beginning of the year.

One law bans texting while driving in Illinois.

The other prohibits cell phone usage while driving in school or construction zones.
