Ben Phillips, the general manager for Lights of Hope, told News 4's Kisha Foster that only 60 percent of the scenes are up because of the rainy weather.

"For the main archway we are going to have to bring in rock and we're gonna have to bring in some extra dirt to raise that area and pack it in and make sure it is sturdy, because the ground is totally saturated out here," Phillips said.

Every year, thousands of people from across the upstate load up and drive through the park for the light show. There are various scenes throughout the park, which is surrounded by Lake Hartwell, like the nativity, angels, toy soldiers, and trains.

"This year, we've got some wonderful charities: Anderson Interfaith Ministries, The Anderson Free Clinic and the Cancer Association of Anderson," Phillip added “They come out, run the park and get the proceeds."

Last year, the light show raised $21,000 for several Anderson County charities.
