HOUSTON - A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash shortly after she argued with her husband, deputies told KPRC Local 2.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said the woman crashed into a light pole in the 13300 block of Cypress North Houston Road at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.
The woman's husband told deputies that they argued and she got in her car. She drove away at a high rate of speed and was headed to a store to buy beer, according to the husband.
The husband said he went outside to stop her, but she had already crashed into the pole.
Deputies said the woman had been drinking prior to the crash.
The woman's name was not released.
