County Commissioners holding budget hearing

YAKIMA--Yakima County Commissioners will hold what could be their final budget hearing for this year Thursday night.

Commissioner Rand Elliot tells us the county's prepared to adopt the budget on Monday.

That proposal calls for 26 employees to be laid off, and another ten open positions to go unfilled.

Whether they do that may depend on you. This is a public hearing and arguments for or against the budget will be heard.

The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Yakima City Hall.
