Luke Ravenstahl Will Help Magazine Choose Annual Cover Honoree

Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl got together with some big names in the Big Apple on Thursday evening.

Time Magazine chose Ravenstahl to be on the panel in New York that will be part of the publication's selection process for its annual "Person of the Year."

"I am excited. And once again, it gives us a chance to talk about Pittsburgh and bring our perspective. I think they value it, that is why they asked us to participate," Ravenstahl said.

Also on the panel are "O" editor-at-large Gayle King, "The View" television show host Barbara Walters and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

, Ravenstahl, along with Giuliani and "Top Chef" judge Tom Colicchio voted for "the economy."

The trio agreed to a combination of United States Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and the unemployed American worker for Person of the Year.

Walters, King and TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz voted for "the guys from Twitter.

The winner will be announced when the magazine hits newsstands in a few weeks.
