WASHINGTON -- A man from Togo who wanted to return to his country may have found a surefire way to make that happen.

Four people were hospitalized after an incident inside the Embassy of Togo in the 2200 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW just before noon Thursday.

Kokou Bocco, 31, was at the embassy to inquire about returning home when he became agitated and allegedly attacked three embassy employees with a knife before other employees subdued him, according to the Secret Service.

Uniformed Secret Service officers went to the embassy and arrested Bocco. He and his three victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was seen being taken from the embassy in handcuffs and wearing camouflage pants and military-style boots.

Bocco was charged with one count of aggravated assault. More charges are expected.
