One of the men was fatally shot in the head while the other was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

"We're not sure right now if they were in a vehicle and got out, or if they were walking down the street and were approached by someone else," said Inkster Deputy Chief Dennis Watkins. "The only phone call we got was that they did hear shots fired and they saw someone running down the street. We don't know if that was one of the victims or if it could be the perpetrator that took off from the scene."

Police said they believe the shooting may have been drug related and are looking for two men in a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly a Buick.

The names of the victims have not yet been released, but police said they are in their late teens or early 20s.

Police said there has been three fatal shooting and five other shootings in the same area in the past month.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police have been recruited to help investigate the area.

"We've kind of stepped up, talked to our partners in law enforcement because of the increased number of shootings throughout the city," said Inkster Police Chief Gregory Gaskin. "We want to try and curtail it, so we need all the help we can get."
