Arrest Made In Richmond Hotel Stabbing Incident

Richmond Police have arrested the suspect in a stabbing incident Sunday inside a Richmond motel room that left a woman hospitalized.

Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in a second floor room at the Quality Quarters Inn close to Interstate 75. They say the suspect, identified as Don Potter, Jr., stabbed the victim several times. She was taken to UK Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

Police say Potter was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he contacted police and turned himself in. He is charged with first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
