Four men arrested after a series of robberies in Hamilton County were indicted on more than 80 counts on Thursday.

One of the men, Maurice Jefferson, faces 49 counts of robbery and aggravated robbery.

The men were arrested after a Cincinnati police task force tracked down Jefferson, 23, and Deonte Smith, 22, after police said they robbed a Family Dollar store in Carthage on Nov. 3.

Police later arrested Prentiss Avery and Anthony Walker in connection with other robberies, some allegedly committed with Jefferson.

Avery was indicted on 16 counts of robbery and aggravated robbery, while Walker and Smith were indicted on eight and 12 counts, respectively.

Police said they believe the men may have committed other robberies in neighboring counties and states.
