After seven years of estrangement, Angelina Jolie and has reportedly reconciled with her father, Jon Voight.
According to Us Weekly, the 70-year-old actor is now speaking with his 34-year-old daughter. “We’re in touch, but not regularly,” Voight told the magazine in its latest issue. “We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”
According to a Voight family friend, “[Jon and Angelina] met face-to-face” in February and have reportedly been in communication since. The family friend said that Angelina’s longtime partner, Brad Pitt, has been instrumental in their reunion.
“Angie made the initial contact,” the friend told the mag. “Brad has been supportive — a key factor in her reaching out.”
