2 Crashes Snarl Parkway East At Edgewood/Swissvale Exit

EDGEWOOD, Pa. - THE PITTSBURGH CHANNEL.com

While crews cleared an accident on the Parkway East late Wednesday night, another accident occurred in the opposite direction.

State police said a vehicle overturned in the outbound lanes of the Parkway East at the Edgewood/Swissvale exit shortly before 11 p.m. State police said the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. No injuries were reported.

While crews cleared the scene, two cars collided in the inbound lanes. At least one person was taken to UPMC Mercy with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No identities were immediately released.
