Vets pack Union Gap Applebees for free veteran appreciation meal

YAKIMA, Wash. -- People were waiting at the door when Applebees Bar and Grill opened Wednesday. To thank veterans and active military personnel Applebees offered free entrees.

It started at 11:00 a.m. and goes till closing, which is 11:00 p.m. The Union Gap restaurant was one of many that participated nationwide. People must show proof of service to get the free meal.
