A man accused of raping a western Kentucky woman and killing her three children made a court appearance Wednesday morning.
Kevin Dunlap is accused of raping Kristy Frensly and killing her three children in Trigg County a little over a year ago. His trial was set to begin this week, but it was delayed.
Now, Dunlap's attorneys say they might need to push the February trial date back again because they say the prosecution is withholding evidence that they need to conduct independent lab testing. The prosecutor disputes the claim, saying he has no problem with the request.
Both sides are also threatening sanctions against the other. So far, the judge in the case has not ruled on the motions.
