Miami Priest, Baby's Mama Faceoff in Court
![]() |
It was a courtroom faceoff yesterday between the Miami priest and the former stripper and mother of his illegitimate child, who was asking a judge for a restraining order against the randy reverend.
A tearful Beatriz Hernandez sat in court, describing the cold reception she received from Father David Dueppen after she told him he had fathered her child.
"He says, I don't want any sex with you, I don't want anything with you, you can get yourself another man," Hernandez said, adding that she feared the priest might turn violent. "The only thing I could think was that he was going to take my tongue out."
Dueppen, 42, and Hernandez, 41, met over seven years ago, when she was a stripper at Porky's All Girl Revue in Hialeah and Father Dueppen was a regular at the strip club. The two began a tawdry affair, but broke up when the Archdiocese of Miami found out about the relationship, with Hernandez getting $30,000 to keep quiet and stay away from Dueppen.
But after two years, they found each other again, and this time, Hernandez got pregnant. She went to the Archdiocese with the news.
Hernandez said she went to them to say "That I was scared and that I wasn't going to call the police because Father David didn't want me to call the cops but I needed a protection from him," she said.
Dueppen claimed she wanted more money from him and the Archdiocese.
At yesterday's hearing, both agreed to have no contact with each other and Hernandez dropped her restraining order against Dueppen.
The two will be back in court in April to battle over custody of their daughter, who Dueppen said he hasn't seen in three months.
"It hurts, what do you think it means," Dueppen said yesterday.
