Robber Killed Little Village A homeowner on the city's Southwest Side picked up a gun dropped by a man trying to break into his home and shot the intruder, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The alleged burglar, identified as 36-year-old Carlos Plascencia, died at the scene.

Sexual Assault Evanston A female student at Northwestern University was sexually abused campus, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, citing school officials. Campus police searched the university building and surrounding area, but didn't find the alleged attacker.

Teens Shot Albany Park Two teenage boys were wounded when they were hit by bullets near Eugene Field Park, the Chicago Tribune reported. A 16-year-old victim was shot in the abdomen and the buttocks, while a 17-year-old victim was shot in the right arm. The shooters escaped in a dark-colored van.
