Mother Gets 2 Years In 3-Year-Old Son’s Drowning

AKRON, Ohio - A Cleveland woman was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison in her 3-year-old son’s drowning death.

Krystal Kraus, 25, pleaded guilty to child endangering and reckless homicide in the toddler’s June death.

Prosecutors said Kraus was at her parents’ Cuyahoga Falls home when she was left alone with her son, who drowned in the family pool.

Kraus’ parents had custody of the boy.
