Student Robbery Victim Tells His Story

(MOBILE, Ala.) Nov. 10 -- A University of South Alabama student is telling his story of survival and only to LOCAL 15 News. Two armed robberies have happened on campus in the last week. Two students were even held up at gunpoint in their own dorm room. USA Sophomore Tristan Buis says his roommate invited a stranger in. At almost 2 a.m. Saturday, that man approached his roommate outside of their dorm. He said he needed to use the phone, but once inside, he pulled out a gun and two other strangers entered the room. Two of the robbers had guns and pointed them at the students. They took both of their computers and two broken iPods. Buis says he been on edge ever since. The second happened in the parking lot of another dorm room. The suspects grabbed the victim, threw him against a dumpster and demanded his wallet. The victim said he didn't have one, so the suspects took off.
