Mercy Medical Center has notified some of its patients that their records may have been improperly accessed.
A hospital spokesman said Tuesday that a former employee may be responsible.
The hospital released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying it's not sure what information was accessed inappropriately versus part of the legitimate job duties.
Mercy said it is taking action to notify patients that may have been impacted.
