Akron Man Gets 9 Years For Making Meth, Endangering Child

AKRON, Ohio - An Akron man was sentenced to nine years in prison Tuesday for manufacturing methamphetamine in his home.

Michael Hendricks, 43, was found guilty of illegal assembly of chemicals, possession of criminal tools, possession of drugs, and child endangering.

Police searched Hendricks home and found chemicals and other components used to make meth. They also found that Hendricks' 2-year-old daughter was in the house where the lab was located.

Police later found another meth lab in a camper behind the house and co-defendant Joseph Logan was living in the camper.

Hendricks' wife, Jill Haas-Hendricks, was also charged in the case.

Logan and Haas-Hendricks both pleaded guilty to drug charges and were sentenced to six years and three years in prison, respectively.
