Hospital officials said Tuesday that the physical condition of two of three men injured in a plane crash has improved.
The men were on board a small plane that crashed at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport during a test flight on Monday.
Derrick Holliday was in serious, but stable condition after he was brought to the hospital. He is now been upgraded to good condition.
Holliday is one of two Stevens Aviation officials who was injured on a routine service check flight Monday at GSP.
The other employee, Ed Wilk, is still listed in fair condition at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Wilk has been with Stevens Aviation for 12 years
The pilot, Mado MacDonald, condition was upgraded Tuesday from critical to serious.
MacDonald has been a flight instructor for 10 years with the Beechcraft Pilot Proficiency program. The president of that company calls Macdonald a "careful, conservative and professional pilot."
The crash happened just after 10:00 a.m. Monday. Investigators said the twin turbo prop plane hit a guardrail, crossed highway 14, and stopped in the grass near a runway.
A Stevens Aviation official said the plane had been at GSP after coming in from Virginia Sunday night. It was there for maintenance issue that official said.
We'll continue to update this story as details are released from the investigation.
