Federal Aid request for landslide victims

Governor Gegoire is making a request for Federal Ad to help businesses affected by last month's landslide.

Today the Governor requested the U.S. Small Business Administration declare an economic disaster for Yakima County and provide financial assistance to business owners affected by the recent landslide and flooding of the Naches River.

The slide closed off Highway 410 and changed the course of the river. Gregoire also requested a 30-day extension from FEMA to review and verify damage claims.
