The Regional Transit Authority is taking precautious measures in case of high winds affecting streetcar service.
Effective at 8 p.m. Monday, evening streetcar service on Canal Street, St. Charles Avenue and the Riverfront will be suspended.
The Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue lines will be supplemented by bus service at the regularly scheduled times.
The RTA said the weather Tuesday morning will dictate when the streetcars will come back on line.
