WICHITA, Kansas - Beginning Friday, the H1N1 vaccine will be available at four Wichita elementary schools.

The four west Wichita schools were drawn after a lottery process earlier in the fall. The schools are Benton Elementary, Kensler Elementary, McCollum Elementary and Peterson Elementary. The vaccines are only being offered at elementary schools at this time.

The school district has sent home consent forms for parents to sign.

Only students who attend the schools will be given the shots and they do not have to have any underlying health conditions. Children under the age of nine will need to get a booster in three weeks, but parents will have to arrange that themselves as they may not be available at the schools.
