Police Release Photos Of Gas Station Armed Robbery Suspect

Police have released surveillance photos of an armed robbery of a suspect in an armed robbery at a Lexington gas station early Monday morning.

Police say the suspect walked into the Shell station on Richmond Road around 1 a.m. Monday, grabbed a couple beers from the cooler and went to the counter. That's when the clerk said the suspect pulled out a gun, robbed him and ran out.

Witnesses said they saw the man get into a car at the Wal-Mart parking lot nearby.

Police say the man left behind the beer bottles and they plan to lift fingerprints from those. They're also going to look at surveillance video both the Shell station and Wal-Mart.
