Rochester Police and the Rochester Fire Department are on the scene of a partial building collapse. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Joseph and Clifford Avenues.
According to City of Rochester officials, crews were working inside to prep the building for demolition when a part of the roof gave way, sending bricks onto the sidewalk below.
News 10NBC is told they will tear down the collapsed portion today and the rest of the building will come as scheduled later this week.
The building has an ornate decoration on the roof line with the numbers 1888.
No workers were injured in the collapse.
Traffic in that area is being diverted.
