Inmate Fatally Stabbed At Correctional Institution

TOWSON, Md. - WBALTV.com
A 37-year-old inmate serving five years on drug charges was stabbed to death Sunday night at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover.
The incident is being investigated by Maryland State Police, with assistance from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Officials said the stabbing happened shortly after 9 p.m. during a recreation period inside one of the compound's housing units. A second inmate was also stabbed.
Both wounded inmates were taken to Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury.
The name of the deceased inmate hasn't been released pending next-of-kin notification.
