Frederick County Elementary School Remains Open After Fire

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - Frederick CountyPublic School officials say a fire broke out in a portable classroom at Parkway ElementarySchool early Monday.

Fire crews responded to the school around 5:30 a.m.

Officials say the fire was contained to the portable classroom, and school will remain in session.

Students who have class in the portable unit will be relocated inside to the media center.

School officials say the fire started from an electrical problem in the ceiling, and the portable classroom was destroyed.
There were noinjuries reported.
